Airtel Africa plans to list its subsidiary specializing in mobile money on the stock market by the end of the current year, according to Bloomberg.
Airtel Africa has held discussions with potential advisors on the initial public offering of Airtel Money this year, indicating that the group has not yet decided on the place of listing of its subsidiary and is still hesitating between stock exchanges located in the UAE, the UK and Europe.
Airtel Money, which is present in 14 markets in sub-Saharan Africa, is the most profitable subsidiary of the operator.
