Togo and Niger could conclude a free roaming agreement in the coming months, reported TogoFirst.
The two parties plan to set up a discussion framework which should lead to the signing of a bilateral agreement with a view to helping to facilitate the use of electronic communications services by populations when they travel in one or the other of the two states.
Niger’s approach comes after a similar deal was recently struck by the Comoros and Mauritania. Niger would become the fifth West African country with which Togo would conclude this type of partnership.
