Airtel Madagascar launched a new satellite connectivity solution called ‘Airtel Satellite,’ which should allow its local subsidiary to improve the coverage of its services in Madagascar and to be more competitive in the face of competition.
“With maximum service availability and a guarantee of uninterrupted connectivity, Airtel Madagascar is part of the future and brings to the market a very high speed, low latency and highly resilient connectivity service,” said Anne Catherine Tchokonté, general manager of Airtel Madagascar.
The use of satellites responds to the need for Airtel Africa to cover rural areas where the demand for high-speed connectivity is beginning to grow. Mobile services are now a catalyst for development in several areas such as agriculture.
