Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire prepares for 5G

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI) is preparing the commercial deployment of 5G mobile technology.

The regulator is looking for a company to develop mechanisms for sharing telecoms infrastructure in the context of the deployment of ultra-high speed. A call for tenders was launched for this purpose on 22 August.

In December 2021 that the Ivorian government embarked on the race for 5G with the adoption of the roadmap for the deployment of the technology. Abidjan aims to launch the technology before the African Cup of Nations (CAN) to be held in the country in January 2024.
