Liberia introduces new quality standards for MNOs

21 March 2024

The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) has introduced new quality regulations for mobile network operators to guarantee better quality services to consumers.

The regulations require telecom operators to promptly address consumer complaints and restore lost data and minutes when networks fail through no fault of the consumer. The latter is also called upon to carefully read the conditions of the contracts before accepting them. This LTA initiative aims to strengthen the protection of Liberian telecom consumers.

This initiative is also expected to help accelerate the development of Liberia's ICT sector by stimulating greater improvement in services.
