Orange wishes to obtain a stake of at least 50% in the capital of Ethio Telecom to achieve its entry into the Ethiopian telecoms market, according to Jérôme Henique, the company's general manager for the Middle East and Africa.
The company wants to obtain control of operations to be able to deploy its operating model while the Ethiopian government is ready to cede at most 45% of the historic operator.
