Starlink's low-orbit satellite broadband internet service is now available in Botswana, making it the twelfth African country to benefit from the commercial services.
According to Starlink, Batswana will have to pay 4,820 pula to acquire the unique hardware. The service costs 688 pula per month.
The launch of Starlink’s commercial services in Botswana comes about three months after the company was granted its operating license. The ISP is continuing its expansion in Africa, where it aims to bring broadband access to remote and landlocked areas. The company already has operations in Nigeria, Rwanda, Mozambique, Kenya, Malawi, Benin, Zambia, eSwatini, Madagascar, South Sudan and Ghana.
