MTC Namibia has teamed with U2opia Mobile, an Indian-based technology company, on an electronic learning (e-learning) project in Southern Africa.
The Upskill-Hub aims to upskill students and young professionals by making learning opportunities accessible and inexpensive to over 5 million MTC members.
"Upskill Hub bridges the skills gap for Namibian youth," said MTC Namibia's project manager, Carlos Manuel. "This affordable program empowers them (youth) with the knowledge and confidence to secure meaningful employment and build brighter futures."
Upskill-Hub has a library of over 17 courses and over 350 videos. Course combinations start at N$3 each day. It also provides courses in Python programming, Tableau, and Adobe Photoshop, which MTC and U2opia say ensure learners have access to the tools they need to succeed in the digital age. Technical skills such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, website design, and internet marketing are available.
