Safaricom and Vodafone partner for youth training

Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC is partnering with Vodafone Foundation, USAID, and Amref Health Africa for a joint initiative, KEFETA Project with a commitment to empower over 2 million young people, fostering self-employment, and increasing employability.

With US$2.7 million of funding, the initiative aims to transform the landscape of youth services in Ethiopia by enhancing tech infrastructure, establishing digital incubation hubs, and boosting primary and secondary education through digital literacy and innovation.

“We are proud to be the connectivity partner, availing our reliable and Fast-Data network in the youth centers and incubation hubs building the next-generation talent base to meet the demands of Digital Ethiopia,” said Safaricom in a statement.
