This enhancement aims to provide subscribers with a superior connectivity experience without the need to change their existing SIM cards.
According to Moov Africa Niger’s CEO, Abdelali Babaali, the deployment of 4G+ will enable users to enjoy faster download speeds, more seamless browsing, high-definition video streaming, and quicker file transfers, all at reduced costs. This upgrade arrives at a crucial time when mobile telephony is the primary means of internet access for many Nigeriens.
Moov Africa Niger’s rollout of 4G+ aims to improve internet quality in urban areas by offering a high-performance alternative to the prevalent 2G and 3G networks. The introduction of 4G+ positions Moov Africa to strengthen its foothold within an increasingly competitive market dominated by Airtel and Zamani Telecom.
The operator’s upgrade is also geared towards fostering the development of new digital applications across the country, particularly in sectors such as e-education, connected health, and innovative mobile services. By adopting 4G+, Moov Africa Niger joins other subsidiaries of the Maroc Telecom group already active with this technology in the wider region, signalling its commitment to advancing digital infrastructure in Niger.
