Zedmobile has officially launched in Zambia as the country’s fourth MNO.
Technology and Science minister Felix Mutati commended Beeline (now Zedmobile) for establishing a fourth network telecom in the country. Mutati advised the MNO to creatively utilize a new entrant of a highly competitive digital market with cautious and thriving commercial dynamism founded on endurance and favourable service delivery to survive the digital market share.
“I’m optimistic that the new operator will come with services that will cater for those who have been unconnected,” said minister Felix Mutati, Science and Technology.
The Zedmobile will be operationalized in July and provide its platform delivering a 5G network stretching to far-flung areas of Zambia.
“A three-year conceived concept to establish an indigenous mobile network has been actualised and founded on a vision to sustain a quality and paramount digital Zambian telecom with a service delivery of inclusiveness in all aspects of society,” said Kelvin Hambwezya, chairman, Zedmobile.
