NigComSat has signed a partnership agreement with YahClick to provide high-speed internet connectivity services both in Nigeria and throughout Africa.
According to Kevin Viret, YahClick's vice president for sub-Saharan Africa, the collaboration will be based on complementarity, with YahClick's solutions helping to fill the coverage gaps of NigComSat. The two parties will also collaborate on pricing and billing.
This partnership is part of the strategic actions undertaken by NigComSat to strengthen its capacities, with a view to contributing to the achievement of the government's ambition to extend broadband to the entire Nigerian population, particularly in rural areas that are difficult to access. access. The company plans to acquire two new telecom satellites - NigComSat-2 and NigComSat-3 - by 2025 to replace the NigComSat 1-R which will reach the end of its 15-year lifespan in 2026.
