Africell Gambia has launched 5G; ultra broadband is currently available in Banjul, Fajara, Kairaba Avenue, Senegambia and Brusubi.
Africell is the second Gambian operator to launch 5G after QCell in June 2023. Although the focus is on 5G, Africell wants to continue investments to improve the quality and coverage of its 3G and 4G networks.
5G is expected to enable Africell to increase revenues and support the Gambian government's digital transformation ambitions.
