Airtel Africa plans to build a 7MW data centre in Nairobi, Kenya. Construction will begin shortly after that of the data centre the company plans to build in Lagos, Nigeria. Commissioning of the infrastructure is planned for mid-2026..png?lu=817)
In December 2023, Airtel Africa launched the activities of its data centre subsidiary called Nxtra by Airtel (Nxtra). The company intends to build an extensive data centre network in Africa with high-capacity facilities in major cities within the coverage area. This should enable it to provide integrated, secure, and scalable solutions to hyperscalers, large African enterprises, start-ups, SMEs and governments.
