Madagascar has one of the lowest rates of access to electricity, reaching only 33.7%, while digital connectivity stands at 22%. This partnership aims to promote socio-economic inclusion through the energy and digital transition.
This collaboration, under the supervision of the AXIAN group, has already powered more than 10 telecom towers through WeLight mini-networks, and has been able to simultaneously provide electricity to around 4,000 homes, thus transforming the daily lives of thousands of people.
“The synergy between TOA and WeLight has been key to this success, optimizing our resources and integrating cutting-edge technologies for lasting impact. Our ambition for the coming year is to extend our network to more than 15 WeLight Minigrid sites, thus strengthening this dynamic of progress and well-being,” said Gilles Kuntz, CEO of TOA Madagascar.
