Nokia has announced that Reflex will deploy its advanced Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) solution to upgrade and expand their network, enabling quicker onboarding of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and delivering improved broadband experiences for South African businesses and communities. This deployment will also help Reflex optimize space and power usage while ensuring their network is prepared for ongoing growth nationwide.
South Africa’s demand for high-speed broadband is increasing rapidly due to ongoing digital transformation in both urban and rural areas. However, reaching underserved regions remains a significant challenge. By replacing its existing BNGs with Nokia’s scalable solution, Reflex aims to bridge the digital divide and empower more ISPs to connect communities across the country. Research indicates that expanding broadband access could substantially boost the African economy, highlighting the importance of investments like this. Nokia’s solution addresses key issues of scalability, efficiency, and environmental sustainability, supporting Reflex’s goal to meet South Africa’s evolving connectivity needs responsibly.
