This strategic move underscores Hayo’s ongoing commitment to investing in emerging markets, aiming to bolster local digital economies through innovative solutions, telecom services, and on-the-ground expertise.
The company's increased presence in these countries is designed to meet rising demands from hyperscalers, government bodies, regulators, enterprises, and mobile operators. By establishing local operations, Hayo aims to facilitate quicker delivery of digital services, support digital adoption, and enhance capabilities for global businesses seeking to scale within some of Africa’s most vibrant markets.
“Supporting businesses, enabling digital innovation, and making a tangible impact on daily life across African markets requires close proximity and understanding of local dynamics. Our offices in Botswana, Liberia, and Malawi are not just operational hubs — they are long-term investments in local talent, partnerships, and digital progress,” said Feraz Ahmed, CEO of Hayo.
Hayo’s expansion into Botswana, Liberia, and Malawi aims to support this upward trajectory by creating local employment opportunities and strengthening partnerships with national stakeholders. The new offices will facilitate region-specific solutions spanning government technology (GovTech), Internet of Things (IoT), voice, messaging, and cloud communications.
“The future of Africa’s digital economy should be built by local people for local needs. By expanding our on-the-ground teams in key markets, we can better support communities, understand local challenges, and collaborate with partners to develop a digital ecosystem that truly makes a difference for businesses and citizens,” said Sergio Rodrigues, Director of Strategic Partnerships & Product at Hayo.
